Over a month ago, Wesley and I were invited to go to a petting zoo here in Chico. We had a blast and Wesley especially loved feeding the goats. He had a blast running around looking and touching all the animals. Here are some highlights from our adventure:Wesley feeding the goats:

My little GC model on the horse trailer and yes, he got up there and did this all by himself!

I placed my comet on my bathroom counter while cleaning and Wesley decided to investigate. He took it off the counter and it spilled on his face. I didn't see it happen but he starting screaming and when I looked at him he had comet all over his face. I was pretty calm at this point and hurried and got a washcloth to wipe off his face. I tried to call Patrick but he was at work so I called my mom because I didn't know what to do. She told me to rinse his eye out so I did. This was a pretty hard task because he is so strong. This wasn't really working and he was playing with his eyes because I didn't get everything out. I called my mom back and at this point I was pretty hysterical. She told me to try to find someone to help me, so in that process she called me back and told me to take him to the emergency room. Emergency room and my own child didn't really mix well with me. I was now crying even harder than before. My last resort for me was to call Wesley's doctor to see what they would say. The first thing they asked was if I called poison control. Well duh, that should of been the first thing to do. I called and they wanted me to flush his eye out for 10 minutes! I couldn't believe they wanted me to do such a thing. But I did and it was probably the longest 10 minutes of my life. Poor guy after awhile gave up and I was trying to talk to him to let him know that he was going to be ok. All he could say was, "kitty, kitty, kitty" over and over again. So right after we were finished he ran to find his kitty and he laid out him for 30 minutes!! But out of this experiece I learned so many things. To first call poison control if anything like this happens again, to know the number for poison control {it is now in my cell phone!!}, always keep my cell phone charged because it was about to die and to always stay calm. I think in these situations especially when it has anything to do with your child you think the worse.

Today we had another scare. While I was talking to my mom on the phone, Wesley was playing in the living room. He went to get a book out of the bookcase and the bookcase slide to the left and went crashing. Poor little guy was pretty shacken up because it was pretty loud. I'm so thankful that the bookcase decided not to fall forward because Wesley was standing right in front of it. And of course Patrick was at work when both of these things happened!

Our bookcase has seen better days
Wesley thought having all his puzzles and books out was amazing:
I'm so thankful that Little Wesley didn't get hurt in either of these accidents. I'm so thankful to my Heavenly Father for watching over my family always.

Everyday Wesley puts a smile on my face. Lately he has been putting our shoes on and this is what we found him doing last week. He was walking around in my shoes. It's pretty darn cute:If you know Wesley well, you know that he is a ham. He makes so many faces and while he was eating his whip cream and choclate cake {from costco yum!!} I was able to catch a few of them!!

As of today, Patrick has only 3 more weeks of school and he will GRADUATE!! We can't be more thrilled about him graduating. He is in the Master's Program here at Chico State. I have only 4 more weeks of school and I can't hardly wait for summer to be here. Poor Wesley has been such a trooper this semester dealing with our hectic schedules.
The month of May is going to be really busy for us. Today is my brother's birtday...Happy Birthday Michael!! He is currently in Uruguay serving a mission. He's been out of year this month and I'm excited because I get to talk to him next Sunday for Mother's day. Patrick and I are going to a Carrie Underwood concert with his family, I'm going to see my sister and her kids next weekend as well as my parents, I get to see one of my best friends get married for time and all eternity and my favorite....Patrick and I will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary!! Wow how time flies!! I hope we can include fishing in there somewhere because we started a tradition of going fishing on our anniversary. We were married on Memorial Day weekend so we celebrate our anniversary then. Memorial Day weekend also happens to be the opening day at Eagle Lake. We love fishing there and we've had some fun memories with my parents there. It will be a crazy month but I'm looking so forward to it because I get to spend a lot of time with family which I love.

This year we celebrated Easter on Saturday with Patrick's family. We had an Easter egg hunt, had dinner and the girl's took the kids to the movie while the boys went to Priesthood meeting. Saturday it was just the 3 of us and I really enjoyed it. We had an amazing Easter by just watching General Conference. I will have to say it was the best Easter. I know the true meaning of Easter is overshadowed by gifts and Easter egg hunts. And I was happy to be as a family that day.
This is our family picture for Easter:
Patrick & IWesley had a great time finding Easter eggs. I didn't think that he would catch on as good as he did. He was so much fun to watch:
He got so excited every time he found an Easter egg:

Then he realized he had dirt on his hand from climbing so he ran to Nana to get it off:

Attempting to take a kid picture:
I love this because Wesley was using Bryant's leg to get up and Bryant didn't like that too much:
My handsome little boy:
This is what the Easter bunny brought Wesley this year. Do you see a theme going on at all? Everytime he wants to watch Mickey Mouse, he says "Duck". It's really cute!!
